Well the electronegativity rises across the period bereason the electrons are being included onto the same power level,this rises the variety of electrons of an atom,the increase of electrons of an atom likewise leads to increase in clear charge,in fact the nuclear charge rises even more,this leads to attractivity of electrons by the nuclear charge,hence electrons gain attracted in the direction of the nuclear charge thus electrons are not conveniently lost!
