Tv between 2 windows

Anythat, I want to mount a 55-65" television on a wall surface, and also also include 2 thin windows (one on either side) of around 22-24" consisting of the moldings.

You watching: Tv between 2 windows

Now, my question is whether or not this would be a great concept or would certainly it hurt the tv viewing experience? I think it is an east encountering wall (have to double check) yet curtains/shades would be present. However before, if I'm going to always store them closed throughout the day to comfortably watch tv (without obnoxious glare or something) they would certainly defeat the initial objective of adding more light right into the den/kitchen area.

So, any kind of huge drawbacks to positioning a television between 2 windows? I haven't personally been in a room with that situation so I was hoping someone can shed some light.

The tv will be a 4K LED, if that matters.

Yes, in the morning as soon as the sunlight is coming via those windows it will interfere. In the afternoon it won't have straight glare, yet the boosted light coming from the home windows will certainly make your TV seem dimmer in comparikid.

I'm of the opinion that the just room in the home that merits acquiring designed approximately a TV is the entertainment room. So if this is an entertainment room, I'd forego the windows. But if it's a family room or basic function room, then optimal TV watching takes a ago seat. You deserve to put blackout shades on those home windows for the times when you execute want optimal TV watching.

One issue I watch is that sunlight has a lot even more lumens than your TV deserve to output, it will look dim during a lot of of the day, and depending on wright here you're sitting the light might go straight in your eyes. If you don't use it throughout the day at all then you're fine.

Another worry is that you're physically modifying your home to fit a TV, which have actually gone through significant changes in the last decade in regards to thickness, dimension, etc. Who knows what the future will certainly hold for that. You could be unrolling your TV on your wall when you're all set to watch it.

I have this setup. It's fine, however you must consider the comparison of the bbest light coming either side (or also straight behind if the tv overlaps a bit) and the screen. And my TV is old so has significant bevels, so that might help. I imagine yours will have almost zero bevel. Then aget you say you'll have actually the curtains drawn during the day, so what's the allude in having actually the windows?

With my setup the windows face the street. I have either the privacy blinds dvery own during the day, or the blockout blinds down at night, so that contrast isn't an issue for me. So possibly take into consideration a lighter blind for in the time of the day that still lets some light in.

You will certainly need curtains AND blinds. With both, it's fine.

This is my "movie room." It's sort of a mess because we just replaced the sliding door on the left and some various other stuff, however you obtain the concept. That's a 50" Samsung plasma from 2009. In the photos the blinds are open so they leak in lots of light, still watchable but it does hurt the viewing experience during the day. And it still lets a lot of natural light in.

I determined not to mount the TV to the wall, and also to move it amethod from the wall so that tbelow was numerous room to access cables, + the main heating vents, + the home windows.

TLDR: acquire light curtains that will certainly diffusage light, and also well-sealing blinds. You'll let most light in through the curtains, yet have the right to still babsence out for a great movie experience.
