Lenovo yoga 2 boot from usb

I have a Lenovo 11e Yoga lappeak. I have installed a new, empty SSD in the system and also currently I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 (which is what the lapoptimal came with).

I produced a bootable USB stick utilizing the latest variation of Rufus, however once attempting to boot, and picking the USB drive as the boot device, it simply goes earlier to the Boot Device Selection display screen instantly.

I disabled "Secure Boot" in the UEFI bios, yet still does the very same point.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I tried the adhering to and it addressed the issue!!

In order to boot from UEFI the flash drive need to be formatted as FAT32. Windows USB and also DVD tool supports just NTFS, So after developing the bootable photo, copy all the documents from the flash drive to the HDD then format the flash drive as FAT32 then copy the papers ago from the HDD to the flash drive. The flash drive will certainly still be bootable.

I had the same concern with my Lenovo Yoga 900-13ISK. Here are the setup procedures which I offered to install Windows 10 from a USB stick in UEFI mode on my Lenovo Yoga:

USB Setup

Download Windows 10 picture (*.iso format) Create a bootable USB stick through Rufus, make certain to select GPT partition scheme for UEFI andFAT32 file mechanism (it won"t work through NTFS)

*

Lapoptimal Setup

Press the "Novo" switch on the Yoga laptopSelect "BIOS Setup"Open "Security", "Secure Boot" and set it to "Disabled"Open "Boot", "Boot Mode" and also set it to "UEFI"Open "Boot", "Rapid Boot" and also collection it to "Disabled"Open "Boot", "USB Boot" and also collection it to "Enabled"Select "Exit", "Exit Saving Changes"

Now you need to have the ability to select your bootable USB stick from the "Boot Menu". If you are done with the Windows setup, you have to enable "Secure Boot" and "Quick Boot" (which were disabled just before the setup).
