How did the rest of your upgrade go? Were you able to use Windows 10 after addressing the dimming issue? I also have a P400 yet had actually to roll ago to 8.1 bereason Win10 was super slow-moving on begin up and also extremely choppy (constantly freezing up etc). Did you have actually an excellent experience? Thanks!

I too had actually the exact same difficulty. There are two things you have the right to carry out, both of which I did before.

1. You have the right to switch your screen adapter to jiyuushikan.org Basic Adapter.

This will enable you to deal with your brightness trouble. Due to the fact that it"s an easy adapter, you will have actually restricted functions such as projecting a second display via HDMI.

2. You can download the older drives from Lenovo"s website. This is where I acquired mine. With this, you shouldn"t be restricted to attributes favor the standard adapter above.http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds031547

Updating chauffeurs won"t aid since P400 is not supported from Lenovo for Windows 10. Really upset around that. Though their Thinkpads are great, most most likely will certainly not buy a Lenovo aacquire, especially Ideapad. Anymeans, excellent luck!
