Asus d drive

Huh. I just tried to kind a short article however it didn"t submit. I"ll simply retype it.

So I just opened up my Asus Tuf Gaming lapoptimal for the initially time to attempt to clean out the fan given that it was making a weird noise. When I did I tried to be careful not to touch the HDD but did touch the motherboard. The drive still seems to be associated.

I then restarted and the D: drive is absent. My lapheight is running on a hydrid drive via a 100GB SSD and a 900 GB SATA HDD. While the OS is on the C: drive most of my apps and all the records are on D.

I tried opening gadget manager however as you have the right to see it just finds the 100GB drive.

I tried going to activity -> search for drives yet didn"t discover anypoint.

I tried in search of a driver to update yet tright here was only one disk drive device and that one was completely updated.

So now I"m confused. Please help!

I"m gonna rebegin while plugged in currently and check out if that helps.

Reboot the computer system and also enter your UEFI/BIOS. Is the drive detected there? If not you have actually a trouble. I would carefully examine to view if the drive is securely attached.

If you can"t acquire into your UEFI tapping a vital then usage the adhering to technique.

Your graphic is from disk administration, not tool manager.

Boot and also go right into the BIOS...are both drives reflected as attached?

I just tried booting in to UEFI however was greeted through among those easy views that just mirrors fan rpm/tools. I tried pressing f7 to go right into progressed but the point seemed to freeze. I"ll try aobtain.

There"s just one disk gadget as far as I"m mindful. It"s a hybrid drive.

Interestingly I"m pretty certain only one fan is actually functioning despite there being 2 in my lapheight. The other one doesn"t spin at all yet bios says it is. I do not think this has changed at all because I opened up the lappeak.

Oh wow. Good call!

Going right into the bios looks practically exactly favor the attached image.

The primary distinction is that for storage it states n/a for me.

Modern does not really show anypoint storage associated.

I"ll try rerelocating the hard drive and also reattaching the pin connector. Then if that does not occupational I"ll try removing the SATA HDD altogether and try it as a USB gadget. That method if the papers are still available I deserve to ago it up (most of my records should be on dropbox anyways) and also hopefully move it to an old HDD.

Or might doing any kind of of the over make points worse?

If that photo is from your computer system it says the SSD is 250GB but your Disk Management states it"s closer to 120GB so I don"t understand also the discrepancy.

If you are mindful via rerelocating the HDD there shouldn"t be a difficulty. Ground yourself first.

That photo is not from my computer system.

I do not have the tools to ground myself. At finest maybe I could rerelocate the battery initially (after shutting dvery own for a minute).
